My Novel Year: The Draft
The year you finally finish your novel & get it in front of an agent.
My Novel Year is a 12-month mentorship that takes you from blank page to completed manuscript. Expert guidance, industry access, and an intimate cohort of writers with the same goal as you combine to deliver an edited first draft.
You've Been Trying to Write This Book for Years
You start strong, then life happens. The draft sits abandoned. You second-guess every sentence. You wonder if you're actually a writer or just someone who wants to be one.
Here's what you actually need: structure, expert feedback, and someone in your corner who's already published eight books.
My Novel Year: The Draft is a 12-month mentorship I've designed to take you from idea to completed manuscript β with professional guidance, industry access, and a cohort of four other writers who understand the struggle.
This isn't another online course you'll abandon in a few months. This is the year your writing life changes.

Andrew Maguire
βGeorgia helped me turn a vague idea into a book deal.
Her high-energy, affirming feedback gave me the confidence to seriously pursue my queer romance idea. Her programs provided accountability and valuable peer feedback. After 2 years, I felt prepared to query thanks to Georgiaβs industry insights. I received eight offers and signed with a senior agent at Transatlantic Agency. My novel, GRAND SLAM, was acquired by DoubleDay Canada and will be published in 2026."
This Is For You If
-
β
You have a novel idea (or a few competing ones) and you're ready to commit
-
β
You've tried writing solo but you need structure and accountability
-
β
You're willing to write 10,000 words/month (roughly 2,500/week) most weeks
-
β
You want to understand the publishing industry, not just write in a vacuum
-
β
Youβre ready to meet face-to-face with a literary agent and acquiring editor
-
β
You're ready to invest in yourself, your creative work, and your dream of being a writer
This is NOT for you if:
β You're not ready to show your work or receive meaningful feedback
β You want a quick fix or paint-by-numbers formula
β You're not willing to commit to a full year
β You donβt have time to write 80,000 words
β You want pre-recorded lectures or a digital course with no human element
How It Works
You'll work directly with me in a cohort of just five writers.
Capped intentionally so everyone gets real attention.
Q1: Foundation
Q2: Momentum
Q3: Completion
Submit a 2,000-word outline and receive detailed editorial feedback. Learn story structure, premise, and character. Start drafting by end of Q1.
Write 10,000 words/month. Workshops focus on pacing, POV, dialogue, and staying motivated. Share an excerpt mid-quarter for supportive feedback.
Cross 80,000 words. Workshops shift to scene structure, narrative cohesion, and revision strategy. Your 1:1s keep you on track.
Q4: Professional Readiness
Receive your full developmental edit. Participate in the live agent pitch session. Attend a marketing masterclass. Create your revision roadmap.

What Makes This Different
-
Let's be blunt: getting in front of a literary agent is nearly impossible.
The average agent receives 5,000-10,000 queries per year and signs 1-3 new clients. Most writers spend months sending queries into the void, collecting form rejections.
This program eliminates that barrier entirely.
You get a guaranteed 15-minute live pitch session with an established literary agent actively seeking new voices. No slush pile. No waiting. No praying someone reads past your first paragraph.
Just you, your story, and direct access to someone who can change your career.
Even if it's not an immediate match, you've made a professional connection and gained insider knowledge most writers never get. This kind of access doesn't exist outside of expensive conferences.
(Standalone value: Priceless)
-
Q1 β Outline Critique: Detailed feedback on your 2,000-word outline to ensure you're building something strong.
Q2 β Mid-Year Excerpt: Supportive feedback from me and your peers on a short excerpt.
Q4 β Full Developmental Edit: An 8-10 page editorial letter covering structure, pacing, character development, and market readiness. Actionable, encouraging, tailored to your voice.
(Combined standalone value: $5,000)
-
Monthly 2-hour group workshops covering story structure, character development, pacing, dialogue, overcoming blocks, and revision strategies β tailored to where you are in the process.
Monthly 1-hour private 1:1 sessions dedicated solely to you. Stuck on a plot problem? Character not working? Panicking? This is where we troubleshoot together.
Private Slack community with direct message access to me for ongoing support between sessions.
(Combined standalone value: $8,400)
-
Four intimate Q&A sessions with published authors, literary agents, editors, and marketing professionals. These aren't 100-person webinars β these are small conversations where you ask your specific questions and get real answers.
Most writers never get this access. You will.
(Standalone value: $1,200)
Why a Full Year?
Because writing a novel isn't a sprint. It's a sustained creative practice that requires time, consistency, and support.
A year gives you:
Time to actually write (not just plan or start)
Space to develop craft (you'll be a different writer by December)
Sustainable momentum (not crash-and-burn intensity)
Professional readiness (not just a draft, but a path forward)
